Passing Criteria: A student must score at least 35% in the external (end-semester) examination AND at least 40% in the combined total (internal + external marks) to pass a subject. Failing to meet either of these conditions results in a backlog in that subject.

How SGPA is Calculated: SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) = Sum of (Credit × Grade Point for each subject) ÷ Total Credits in that semester. For example, if you have 5 subjects each worth 4 credits and you score grade points of 8, 9, 7, 8, 9 — your SGPA = (4×8 + 4×9 + 4×7 + 4×8 + 4×9) ÷ 20 = 164 ÷ 20 = 8.2 SGPA.

Converting CGPA to Percentage: As per AKTU's official formula — Percentage = (CGPA − 0.5) × 10. So a CGPA of 7.5 equals approximately 70% marks.

AKTU results follow a predictable academic calendar. While exact dates depend on when the university completes evaluation, the expected schedule for 2026 is as follows:
